Roots, Shoots & Tips

Our monthly meeting has been rescheduled!!

Due to a scheduling conflict with our host church, the February meeting has been changed to Saturday, February 17 at 1 pm.

This is one week later than usual. The meeting is still at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Utica, 10 Higby Road.

This Month – Winter Silhouettes

We are asking each member to bring a silhouette tree (if they have one) so that we can have a discussion about each tree. A silhouette bonsai can show off the interesting structure and branch ramification that is hidden by the summer leaves. Our Silhouette Gathering is meant to explore this part of Bonsai appreciation. Bring in anything you have that is inspirational or has possibilities. We can all talk about them.

How would you display this bonsai on a table in your home? Please consider it and bring in your ideas.

Our January meeting was cancelled due to weather, so we are incorporating our planned vote on our 2018 calendar into our February meeting. Please review the proposed schedule below — we welcome your input.
